For Immediate Release: Sci-fi Fantasy Novel Tells Exhilarating Journey of Magic and Adventure Amidst Great Danger
MAYHILL, NM — A sleepy, isolated town on the edge of Emerald Forest has been razed in a mysterious inferno. Stephen, a self-doubting young man and Angelo, his naive, childish half-elf friend depart on a quest to avenge those lost by discovering the source of the fire.
Journey to Fire's Keep written by Grady L. Owens is the first book in the Return to the Temple series. Within this chapter, Stephen and Angelo, the only lucky survivors of a mysterious blaze that decimated the entire town of Springboro charge themselves into the Emerald Forest to discover and eradicate the source of their livelihood's destruction. Little do they know, they will go up against a megalomaniacal sorcerer named Asmodeious and Diablo, his headstrong apprentice.
As they travel under the guidance of Stephen's brother, their exploits draw the ire of the magical organization that seeks to keep the world's forces in balance. They learn that the world is far larger and more diverse than they can ever imagine. And when one doesn't have a weapon and the other doesn't have a clue, where are they to begin? They may find powerful allies, or they may just invoke the wrath of the very forces holding the world from chaos. They must face their demons head-on in a world they barely understand, or risk losing everything.
